Dissociative Identity Disorder: marked by the self splitting off into various personalities. This condition is rare and usually results from severe childhood trauma.

Depersonalization Disorder: marked by periods of feeling disconnected or detached from one's body and thoughts. The is sometimes described as feeling like one is observing oneself from outside the body or like being a robot or in a dream.
